I have been asked to explain what the 'Auction Club' is, and to explain how to join. It is simply intended as a group for keen online auction-fan members, especially those who want to grab some bargains and help animals in the process. To join, you simply need to become a registered member of this forum and sign-in, so that you can view what is on offer in the next auction sale. After that, if you decide to bid, then you automatically become a 'TRPD Auction Club Member'; it is as simple as that. We will be holding a free entry competition to design a signature that the TRPD Auction Club members can use, if they wish, and with a prize to the rescue of choice for the winner. Perhaps we will also hold other competitions or events for members in the future, too.

How difficult would it be to have some ongoing auctions running and ending at different times, like on ebay? Was thinking perhaps themed ones - eg. books & DVDs; plants & seeds; dog gear; jewellry & gifts etc.
It struck me that the auctions do seem to bring visitors to the forum and it might help to generate more interest in the quizzes and challenges or get people to do things for a rescue.
Everyone likes a bargain or bargain hunt or the chance to clear clutter for a good cause. ;D

I don't know how difficult it would be, Steve, but as we have some late - too late - entries for the last sale, and a couple of things I couldn't find to photograph and that weren't entered, I'll try those as a mini auction and we can see how that goes, and perhaps take it from there.
I'd be interested in hearing what other members think?
