Hi Everybody! I am new to this forum. My name is Valerie and I am manager of a rescue shelter for dogs and cats in Almeria, Southern Spain. I have four dogs of my own, all of them rescues. I have Estrella a 14 year old Heinz 57, Mari a 10 year old Portuguese Podenco, Lulu a 7 - 9 year old Podenco Ibicenco/Greyhound cross and Annabel a disabled Podenco Andaluz who is around 18 months old. Looking forward to browsing this new forum and looking at lots of nice doggie pics ;D Estrella Annabel Mari Lulu (with one of her pups when first picked up) www.ibizanhoundrescue.com

Welcome to the group, Valerie. This is a very friendly forum and we all love to see photos. Like you, I have four dogs - all 'rejects'/rescues. It sounds as if you should really be a 'Rescue Representative' here, and fot your Spanish rescue. Let me know, if so, and that can be arranged.

Hi Valerie, found my way here ;D Hi everyone else, I work with Valerie at PAWS but on the admin and fund raising side of things. Not as rewarding as working with the dogs but not quite as heartbreaking either I'm moving from Spain to Scotland soon, yeah daft I know, where I hope to carry on working for PAWS by telling the colleges and anyone else who's interested about our overseas volunteer programme.

Welcome pawsinpain - and have fun here! And don't tell us too much about the weather in Spain... (when you're in Scotland you can tell us as much as you like about weather ) Are you bringing any doglets back from Spain? And would you like to join the loverly Wolves Team to help us beat the Wildcats in quizzes and challenges??

Just my one doggie, a well travelled lurcher/collie cross who came with us to Spain from England and is so attached to my OH that we're having to drive to Calais and the chunnel as they can't bear to be parted Wolves or Wildcats, hmmm. I have to say the name Wolves invokes memories of football widowhood. Only been here a few hours so I think I'll get to know the place a bit first
