would this be it Just to let you know that, thanks to a superlative performance on the part of the newly named 'Natural Born Dragon', we wiped out the opponents in an all-time record time of 4 minutes 57 seconds! YES! Bring 'em on! Lol It took considerably longer to put their bits back together again, and slightly rearranged, as per requirements. The Wolves' team's Shaman was presented as Mr. Mincemeat on a plate to his thrilled and grateful wife, who declared herself (I think) to be 'around the moon', but even if her native tongue predominated, it was clear she she'd no complaints, even if her 'Cooks and Crooks Group' hubby was looking decidedly sheepish after the battle. Stoned Indian Mike (SIMike here) just managed to fess-up in defence of Mr Mincemeat in time to avoid becoming Catgut, and had to enter the battle ground as 'Ghost Warrior' (aka Dead Man Walking) and having come out of retirement to play with a band of other rejects from the music world, proved himself worthy of acclaim as one of the band members of Dead Men Walking - and what an inspiration and tribute to survival those guys were last night. Were it not for the talents they wasted in the gutter during youthful insanity, they would be up with the best of those surviving decades at the top of the industry. I have to fess-up, I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes just watching and listening to them play. If I'd been wearing cap I'd have thrown it on stage to you all. The Natural Born Dragon and his Princess Amirah asked me to formally announce their engagement and to bless that after the battle challenge, too, and I am happy to say I was delighted to do so and that I am still... the Old Dragon. Seems as if a good night was had by all.

YAY! Looks like the oh so worried youngster was more than worth all the old dragon's trust in him!! Well done, natural born dragon!!!! Even though the wolf lost - I'm afraid I'm on the "other foreigner's" side, i.e. "Mrs Mincemeat" - I hope she's enjoying every minute of having a clean, smart mincemeat man!

I gather she is more than delighted, Jutta, and I'm so pleased for her sake that Natural Born Dragon was batting for me, because he knew things few others could have known! Even things he didn't fire off in the battle, such as how, if he'd lost or worn out one of a pair of his own size 9 trainers, his dad would beg the other to the pair and to try and match up pairs with his own odd size 8 ones! Also how he'd secret some away under flowerpots in the greenhouse to hide them from Hanne. I gather NBD had great fun with his little half sisters playing 'hunt the slipper' and they knew of even more hiding places, and it wasn't just slippers they found either! There were several 'odd' pairs of wellies found hanging around the buildings and some even had birds nests inside (fledged in most cases) and before we even get onto the insect life! One 'pair' of sized 8 and 11 wellies has been filled with compost and planted up with trailing ivy. These will now reside outside the back door of the Shaman's house as a reminder, and just in case he ever forgets the battle. (Ivy being symbolic of everlasting life.) Whatever, Mr. Mincemeat was allowed to remove his smart suit, shirt and piggy tie earlier today, and to don his more theatrical attire in order to entertain some of the little children who were having their fun during the afternoon. Hanne relented a little after that, and dressed him in some smart slacks and a sports jacket with a cravat for the evening meal and later entertainments - although I gather she had yet another Sinatra-like outfit and with a bow tie in mind for when his turn came to croon a few romantic songs at the request of the ladies. (Which I think is going on now, as I type.) Hanne also seems delighted to have the assistance of Aunty Gary, Queen of the Boards and Mistress of the Robes, AKA the Dame of Barbours due to his skill with the scissors. With all the goings on last night, and Gary hovering over me and looking after me like a mother hen, it wasn't possible to create her perfect Mr. Mincemeat, and his mop was rather neglected - apart from a quick inspection with a flea combe, so the mop escaped until both Hanne and the Dame could give it their full attention earlier today. Out came the photos of the famous for Hanne's inspection, and after careful consideration of the stars of stage and screen, Hanne finally opted for the George Clooney look. Having been denied the chance to get his scissors at Mike's long, flowing grey locks, Dame Gary was raring to go! Alas, I hope Gary has forgiven me now for denying him that one, but there are some things I am more than capable of doing for myself... ;D Checking a Wildcat, even a big whoosy one, on a regular basis for FLEAS, and after its owner has been associating with a flea ridden Wolf of such repute as the Shaman's, and by subjecting it to close, personal inspection and combing through with my dogs' flea comb should, at least ensure I get to see my 'other half' a bit more often, and his 'other-other-half' has promised to ensure that he visits me a lot more often than he usually does! (That under penalty of a down to the wood job if he doesn't show up here at least once a month, and barring serious 'mite'gating circumstances!) For anyone confused by that, don't be, it is simply that many people confuse Warrior Nik as Mike's partner, as she often accompanies him to business functions and meetings, and is far more able to fill that role than ever I am, and to discuss business matters with their clients and associates. Nik is also going to be moving in to share Mike's home as a house-mate. They've been good friends for years, and it's an arrangement that suits both of them well for practical as well as companionship reasons. I never realised these fellows could suffer 'empty-nest' syndrome until last night... we live and learn! But then again, as he gave his son Mig and his Hobbit mate, Pippa, half his furniture when they were setting up home together in the barn conversion, it's no wonder his nest seems empty!

I knew I'd missed a challenge that could get a prize on this forum, even though it relates to a name change I've had in another TRPD group I belong to... You may need to search hard and track to get the answer, or perhaps there are enough clues here already to make an educated guess, but there will be a prize for the rescue chosen by whoever can first post my new ID name in the Survivor's Group. It can't be that hard. Good luck. ;D

Weight challenge - I think Ann K is nearest of all ? And I thinkI'm the only wolf to post a guess anyway (but then I'm very muddle headed at the moment trying to get everything sorted for our move in one week! So please, if there's another wolf around this week, could you check up on here and any other challenges? I'm very busy at the moment and from 29 June on won't have internet for a week or two)

Aren't you still "THE OLD DRAGON" ?? I thought you didn't get a new name? I am NOW the Old Dragon on here - having beaten the Wolves Team's Shaman, instead of just 'Al' the independent playing the various levels etc., BUT I am STILL the Old Dragon on the Masterboard, and in other groups challenges I have had various name changes. The main one of those being in the Survivor's Group, although that one will tie in a bit with something on here... Let's just say relating to proposals and triadic relationships, scalp taking and flea combing! pmsl Goodness, Jutta, I know you are busy, but would have thought you, of all members, would have guessed that one to bring a little joy to the Wolves, for their shaman's defeat?

Well, done, Ali! (Where shall I send it?) They have indeed given me that new ID name, and to marry me up with that certain 'Dead Man Walking', ;)although some members are still convinced it should be 'Dead Woman STILL B****Y Talking' - but it has a lot of meaning over in that group that likely has no relevance here. There it's my job to talk the legs of 'donkeys' sometimes. That, even if I've been unable to use the sewing machine here or pack a parcel, or even sleep more than four hours during a period of six days and should have been dead on my feet (which I certainly felt then), I was still talking one to ones into the wee small hours with members of the Donkey Brigade. Well, a woman's got to do something to keep her head/scalp during such challenges/challenging times, although whether I was making much sense is debatable... but being as I'm woman, the guys forgave me, and didn't want to tackle my other half or his other-other half in our Triune marriage of convenience to push the point. (Just think outside the box, Viv, and if you still don't get it, ask. ;D )

Yes please thats the one my mistake. its being beaten by the wolves in the photo challenge thats done it, I have my head full of ways to get them back Just wait until the BIG BATTLE QUIZ is posted - possibly sometime next weekend... I have a feeling a certain Wolf could answer it all on her own... but only if she'd an internet connection and wasn't moving house at the time! (With such act of fate on the cat's side, they might be able to gain a little revenge for the Wolves licking them in the Photo Challenge. ;D
