My grandson Ethan woud like some suggestions for a suitable ID name, and I've agreed to put up a small parcel for the rescue chosen by whoever suggests the name that Ethan decides to adopt. Unfortunately, he isn't able to join the forum in person for another nine years and four months, so has delegated to me the task of typing to his dictation and posting messages to members on his behalf. (And reading any replies, of course!) Here are a few facts and some details that Ethan says are his interests, what his likes and dislikes are, and to help you to pick a suitable ID name for him. Facts:Age: 3 years 8.5 months. Favourite colour - Blue. Likes: All animals and birds - and especially loves Scampi, and his ponies, Daisy & Bronnie. Going for walks with the ramblers, and never complains or expects to be carried. Helping his Grandad down the allotment. Gadgets. Telling tall tales and teasing people. Using Henry, the vacuum cleaner, and a 'Grippy stick' to collect rubbish and dog hair with. Good conversations on topical issues. (Thinks Gordon Brown could do better, and that his new school teachers can't always cope, but he is coping with them... ) Sausages, fish fingers and egg, peas and chips with ketchup. Squirty guns! Delegation! Dislikes:People who shout at him, so he tells them off for being naughty. Over-exhuberant dogs that push past him or try to jump on him - like Moss and Kira. When suggesting an ID name, please nominate a rescue to receive your prize if your suggestion is chosen by Ethan, thanks. The winner will be announced next weekend.

Well, Ethan's still poorly with his tummy bug, so the move's been delayed - again... but the good news is his Grampy is back from his holiday a day early so will have him tomorrow. Bet the teachers will heave a sigh of relief for an extra day's break from him! (Apparently one actually thinks he has ADHD!!! ) Okay, so concentration on BORING things to him isn't his strongest point, but given variety, a purpose that he can understand and mental stimulation, and he's just a bright, active and er... precocious little boy? Some name suggestions from offline group members include... Bright Eyes Goya (Stands for either a colourful character of 'Get Off Your Arse!) Hell Hound The Wily Wolfster The Joker Eye-Eyes The Magician Lots of 'eye' related suggestions, which doesn't surprise me because Ethan's maternal grandfather is Algerian, and his mother has dark brown eyes, but Ethan has that unusal colouring of blond hair, like his dad, but instead of either blue or brown eyes, his eyes are that rare shade of greenish-flecked hazel, and his skin not quite as fair as his dad's. Once he has chosen a name, he also wants to join a team, too, and if any of the above offline members win, then they've said that the team members of the team Ethan chooses can pick the rescue for the prize. If anyone wants to guess which name or team Ethan will choose, feel free to have a go and just add a little prize to pledge to the chosen rescue, y way of entry fee, and I'll add some extra prizes for the rescues nominated by the extra winners.

Ethan has asked me to tell you all that he's chosen a team to join already, but it is being kept a secret until someone pledges something for a rescue to have a guess! I'm refusing to read all the ID names suggested so far, and until the weekend! Hope he can manage to be patient until then! He also says he's feeling better today, but is glad of a day off school to finish recovering properly from his tummy bug! He thought a long walk with his grampy and the dogs would help! They've now been gone around an hour... Scampi will be knackered, Ethan anything but... He thinks about a hundred names to choose from would be about the right number to choose from!

I think he'll join the wildcats - and I pledge a few tennis balls for the dogs to play with!

Anyone want to pledge for the Wolf Team? Ethan wanted to do some dictation yesterday and send you all messages but the PC was having a hissy fit, and it wasn't possible at the time. Now I have forgotten much of the gist of it all, sorry. Therewas, however, mention of an alternate Christmas Tree competition - something to do with making different tree decorations. Ethan informs me that bugs live in trees, and he will be making some bugs to decorate his tree with. That tree will possibly be the top of the remaining Lawson that has to be felled in the back garden... That's if the neighbour can wait long enough to see the back of it... (If so, we might even manage to save some of the seeds, too.) A few more ID name suggestions from the offline groups... Cat's Eyes Wolf Eyes The Gaffer Teacher's Pest Teacher Preacher Mr Motivator

The results are: Ethan has decided to chose the ID name of 'The Wily Wolfster' and to join the Wolves' Team. When he returns from holiday, he says he'll announce the details of a special, 'Wily Wolfster Team Challenge' for rescues, and with a special Christmas theme, which he is still working on, but that it involves making BUGS as Christmas Tree decorations! (You have all been forewarned!) Please can the Wolves chose a rescue to receive the prizes and post their decision in this thread, thanks.

Ethan says: "Thank you for the welcome. I am going to bed now. I just ate a pizza and a dish of fruit with melons and apples and pinapple and orange and lots of grapes in it, but I left the orange pieces for my daddy to eat."Please can the wolves name the rescue for the prizes to go to. Thanks.

Thanks, Jazz, I'll arrange that. The teams seem to be very quiet at the moment... Think I'll post a photo challenge for them, and to wake them up a bit.
