This is just to try and get some idea about who can and who cannot see the results, so perhaps you would vote, then post below as to whether you voted yes or no and whether you are a staff member or not, please?
I can then take the info gleaned to one of the Proboard techi's and see if the problem can be sorted out. Thanks.

Okay, who can you spot the deliberate mistake?

Poll Status: If you had not started this thread, results for this poll would have been hidden until this poll was locked. Yes (1 vote, 100%) No (0 votes, 0%)
That is what is says to me after voting yes, because it was previously showing me the result as both reading zero.

Before voting it says: Poll Status: If you were a regular user, results for this poll would have been hidden until this poll was locked. Yes (2 votes, 100%) No (0 votes, 0%) After voting: Poll Status: If you were a regular user, results for this poll would have been hidden until this poll was locked. Yes (3 votes, 100%) No (0 votes, 0%)
Poll Totals: Total Votes: 3 Total Voters: 3 Something is clearly stuffed!

This is what I saw before I voted....
If you were a regular user, results for this poll would have been hidden until this poll was locked. Yes (3 votes, 75%) No (1 vote, 25%)
Poll Totals: Total Votes: 4
And this after voting
Poll Status: If you were a regular user, results for this poll would have been hidden until this poll was locked. Yes (4 votes, 80%) No (1 vote, 20%)

Thanks to all who replied here. I've been through all the admin functions, but cannot find a way to resolve the fault. It'll just be a case of having to bear the problem in mind for the future, and have a rethink if we are trying to hold polls where it is important to try and ensure 100% fairness. I think that, in future, we will have to go with a totally open vote foe the short story competition, and perhaps even open discussion on the merits of stories. We could always ask those who wish to vote to select three stories and assign each one points on merit for specific aspects such as style, content/plot, entertainment value etc. - i.e. 3 for the one they consider 1st; 2 for 2nd & 1 for third, and decide the outcome that way. Your thoughts on this welcomed.
