Hi everyone. I'm Dukesmum, aka Terri from Northamton. My life is plagued by a grumpy, toothless 14 year old minature yorkie called Duke. I rehomed him and his sister 3 years ago from Jerry Green, but sadly his sister died after 4 major operations 2 years ago. He's turned into the biggest brat in the world ever since.

Welcome to the group, Terri. Isn't it strange how the little ones always seem to think they are the bosses and want to rule? Here it is a young JR Terrorist, not a Yorkie, though. I am sure everyone would appreciate hearing more of Duke, and perhaps a picture or two? ;D

Wouldn't you really really like to become a wolf and take part in the quizzes and challenges and things?? Wot no bribery ;D I do like quizes though, just don't know if I'm online at the right times because of my early shifts. What do I have to do? Don't get online much or for long, mostly because of a little brat wanting to go to bed as soon as we get home........5.30pm though, Is he having a laugh

He was never this bad when his sister was alive. She was the only one who could put him in his place. She was half his size, but oh so definitely the boss. Sadly we lost her two years ago. He's gone from bad to worse ever since

It is a strange thing how the dynamics of a dog, or dogs, change each time either one passes or a new one joins the household. Last year I had four here, then firstly lost Megan, who was the old collie's secial pal. The pair of them were very close, and both had a tendancy to compete with each other at mealtimes. They were both then quite tubby, and despite the collie spending two whole days a week out with the ramblers and walking miles. Indeed, I used to blame Moss's figure on the ramblers all sharing their lunches with him. However, since the arrival of that hyper-active JRT pup, Moss has lost weight, and it is built like a mini-racehorse, lean and muscular, even though they have ad-lib food available of exactly the same as Moss and Megan used to share. The only difference seems to be that the pup spends hours a day play-fighting with the collie. Now my ex, whose collie Moss is, is complaining his dog's losing weight and the JRT's too lean! He seems to think if she were fatter she'd be less energetic! Scampi, on the other hand, and who lost his little pal, Kira, Now seems to consider himself as the alpha male, but wants absolutely nothing to do with the JRT, Gypsy. It took him a while to get over losing his pal, who was as laid back as him, and whom he used to use as a cushion for his head. Now, I don't think he would take to a new companion, and partly due to his advancing years. (He's about 15 now.) To join in the quizzes and competitions, just keep an eye open in the Quizzes and Competitions forum and have a go when you can, and if available on a Sunday night at 6.30pm. Often there are more prizes available than there are members competing, so you could well win something sooner rather than later. If you'd like to join a team, the Wolves and Wildcats are the main, active ones, but you can play as an independent, too.
