I have two ferrets in a bag That's hanging in their cage The bag, it isn't big enough For ferrets of their age.
They do prefer to pile in But leave some bits outside A nose, a tail, a leg or two They're now to big to hide.

I'd contact this really good place called TRPD and see if someone can make them a bigger one!

I keep lookig at my fleece sweaters and thinking perhaps I can manage without the odd sleece! Still have my son's old jeans to turn into another hammock, too. When they move into their proper quarters, once those have been built, there will be room to put an assortment of possible sleeping places in there for them to choose from, and big enough for both to share. I can't believe how much they have grown. Choccy is about as big as their father now, but Hobby's much bigger. It must be all the sleep he gets, plus extra treats he begs for as I pass the cage.

Ferrets are great fun We have 2 that both turned up as strays - they are wonders at getting out and oh the joys of living with them. We have harnesses for our two and they go out for walks. They live outside but come in every day for a few hours free roaming the house. They are such fun - love playing footy with a table tennis ball - even better if its a cat toy with a bell in it, nick ya coffee if you put it down, climb everything and investigate EVERYTHING! lol Mad as hatters but great personalities ;D Both of ours are now vaxed neutered and chipped (boy and girl - Polly and Pip) They play with the dogs and curl up with 3 of them - mikey the lab detests them and he has to be shut away when they come in, we have had a nasty incident with him and Polly where she just about pulled thru after surgery Had put pics on another thread but will add them here too Polly Pip Both

they do look great fun - I suspect that Maisie would be ferret-intolerant too!

Becks, yours are just gorgeous. My little devils managed to escape from their cage again a few minutes ago. I was packing pacels and heard a scrabbling sound coming from the prize box, of all places. It was Choccy! No sign of Hobnob the Horrible, of course, although they'd both been in their cage just a few minutes earlier and I'd refilled their waterbottle. The trouble with Hobby, is that he does his falling asleep very suddenly thing, and unless one knows where, finding him can be a nightmare. I ended up putting the carrier on the floor stuffed with shredded paper where I thought he was most likely to be - under the shelving unit - and moments later he dived into it! There's now a stronger clip on the cage door. I'll be glad when they go down the yard!

I took Hobnob and Choccy down to LT's feedroom yesterday. Although I miss their antics, I'm not missing their whiff! They seem to be enjoying the larger cage, though. I've not yet let them out into the feed room itself for a run around and exploration. Not really had much chance yet. Have a really busy day lined up tomorrow, so probably won't get a chance then, either.

They were fine today, but have clearly been having a whale of a time in my absense, flattening down all of their bedding, and probably by playing and play fighting. The large plastic tube that was suspended from the top of the cage is now on the floor of it, and the ferrets seem to be setting up a home inside it.

I was in a flat with a ferret in a (not very clean) cage, and couldn't smell a thing. Just shows how bad my cold was !

I don't know if my chair was situated downwind of them, but I could easily tell if one had had a bowel movement within seconds, Elaine!
