To meet the ever-growing interest in wildlife, and to coincide with the BBC’s new landmark series The Nature of Britain, the BBC and many of the UK’s largest and best-known conservation organisations are joining forces to organise hundreds of events between 22-28 October.
The BBC's Breathing Places campaign is encouraging everyone to get outdoors and get in touch with their 'wild' side. Whether it's foraging for fungi or helping to lay a hedge, there are events aimed at all ages. From family fun days to tree identification courses, the Wild Week is where it's at.
