Taz is missing - 7 March 2010. He had only just been picked up by a rescue when he escaped. Taz is a 9-month-old liver and white springer male (entire), long tail, may still have harness on, has blue collar with gold writing, no tag/microchip Missing in Llanwonno Forestry area (between Rhondda and Cynon Valleys) - could end up in Mountain Ash, Maerdy or down to Ynysybwl area.
Dog is extremely scared and is quite fearful so best to ring re sightings. Worried that there are a lot sheep farming in area. Please tel. 07538 398319

Penny, I just heard that someone in Ynysybwl found a springer roaming the streets in Ynysybwl and apparently answering this dog's description. I'll be popping up the road to knock his door later to confirm if it could be the same one.
Have also contacted a member of the walking group who will be doing a walk to Llanwonno tomorrow and given her the phone number and details so the group can keep an eye open for Taz.
It is a huge area, though, and several fires have been burning in the area, too. Fire brigade and police were out again today.
Have spoken with local horse riders/drivers and passed on the info too.

Now have spoken to Adam, and the dog does not sound like Taz. It was a very friendly youngster. Also, in its coat pattern it had three distinct claw-like marks down one shoulder. That dog followed Adam to Other Street, Ynysybwl, where he was searching for his family's pet rabbit, and there he saw a man with a collar and lead apparently looking for the dog, which had escaped. Adam is driving around the area in a Sky TV van during the days, and says he will keep and eye open for Taz, and has the phone number.
