Just thought I'd add this to show how very good the harnesses are Took the dogs to Box Hill (675 ft I believe) and walked from the top to the bottom so the dogs could go in the river. Went to walk back up the steps and realised that my knees had given up -seriously thought I would have to shuffle up on my backside. So, put the lead on Maisies ( she's a collie) and bless her , she towed me back to the steps all the way. Dog and harness showing no ill-effects. It's not often I find anything good to say about her, but she was a star - if my knees are ever right again, she'll be a natural for cani-cross And the harness was great - I've checked her over carefully and there's no sign of rubbing on her at all.

Bless her, Elaine. Hope your knees recover soon.
My lodger collie, Moss, will have to be exercised soon by me when my ex goes on his holidays, which I am dreading, because he pulls like a train, although I do use a harness and aim to put a fig. 8 on him, too, as I'm in no shape to be towed, and that is the only combination that I can manage him in. Will have the JR terrorist to walk, too. Hoping I have a harness to fit her, she's such a little shrimp of a thing.
I won't be tackling any hills, though. Rather wish I could drive them down to LT, but the collie is still a nightmare in a vehicle, and the JRT has to go into a carrying box, else is like a demented whirlygig, due to excitement!
