This old boy was picked up by the police as a stray in a village near Frome, Somerset over the Easter holidays. He has a collar but no tags, and the Dog Warden is unable to scan him for a microchip until Tuesday. He must be about 10 years old and is very sweet natured, but quite worried and confused about what has happened to him. He is lame in one leg. We have collected him from the police station and he is being fostered until Tuesday. If you know who he is, please pm me.

This poor old boy has been to the vet this morning, as he is quite lame and seems to be in pain. He is now on a course of anti-inflammatories for arthritus, so I hope that helps. He has been scanned and has no microchip, and has not been reported missing to either the police or the Dog Warden. A contact has been to the village where he was found with photos of him and has asked all around, including the pub, and no one there has seen him before. It is looking increasingly like he has been dumped. We (Greyhound and Lurcher Welfare and Rescue - GLWR) are now desperately looking for a foster home for him in the Somerset/Wiltshire area until we can sort him out. We do have kennel space for him, but are worried that he will really suffer in kennels. If anyone in the area is able to help out for a while, please pm me. GLWR would be so grateful.

Bless him. He looks like dear old boy and not all that unlike my old Scampi, in some ways.
Could he be a potential candidate for Angela at Tailends?

I'm so sorry - I can't take another dog in Have you asked Happy Landings if they may have a foster place? Or here the owner of the the Green Shop in Radstock, she's got several Greyhounds and Lurchers and tries to help GRWE - she may be able to help with a foster home?

Monty, as he is now called, has a short-term foster home now, until we decide what to do with him. Legally he is not ours until Saturday, as someone could still claim him until then. But he will be safe and warm and loved now, until we can sort out a future for him.
