Can any rescues use the free CDs that some service providers send out through the post - e.g. aol - to try and gain new subscribers?
I seem to be gathering a few of these lately. There must be something they can be used for other than hung up to scare birds off the peas!

Some people use these in card making - may be worth putting them on E-bay for that purpose?

They are also handy to make clocks, I used to make and sell quite a few, but just don't find the time these days, may be a handy sideline for someone in rescue who does have the time though (no pun intended!) Ann

Heres one I made earlier. Actualy my OH made it ages ago. I would have paid a bit for it to, so I have to agree with Ann if you put pictures of different breeds on them you could make a profit for any rescue. Ali

Okay, so just to prove how dumb I am, how do you do that? It looks really good, and what great use for unwanted CDs

Its quite easy with something like this cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50196&item=6762494168&rd=1Theres loads on ebay. Just choose your picture, print it onto the label, (which is sticky backed) You can get a machine to put them on straight, Then I used the clock parts from an a clock I bought from a £ shop, and if Ann knows where to get them cheaper thats even better. ;D Ali

Will attempt to make some this week... My housemate has some transfer stuff to print photos onto CD's so just need to purchase some clock bits... If you could send me a link Ann to where they can be purchased that would be great. If they are any good I am happy to sell them to raise funds for BIN... Karma will like her photo on them I reckon! Will let you know how they turn out! Helen xx

The more that are ordered the cheaper they are, so what if I order them and then anyone who would like some can get them from me? It would save a few pennies and that is important in this game! I also have loads of CD label sheets that I can let you have and the software that goes with the somewhere. I will also look out any clock parts I already have and can get them to you asap.
I am quite happy to order the clock parts for any rescues that want some, the savings are worthwhile. you can get them from several places, but this way they are much cheaper.

That's stunning Ali.
Ann, if you're ordering the clock parts, please could you count me in for 1/2 dozen? Thank you.

Ann, did you ever manage to order the clock parts? If not, would it be possible to have the contact details and I will order them, especially if anyone else would like some too?
