If any of the TRPD Groups require anything wether it be seeds for a gardening project or something a little more extravagant, maybe a specific book. please post your wish lists here and just maybe someone on the forum can help you out with what you need.

I will certainly ask the various groups I'm in contact with, Selina, but there is very little in the physical sense that many of these groups need.
Spare seeds, recipe and/or pattern swapping are regular things amongst the members and there is no reason why this activity shouldn't be extended to include interested parties in other groups, such as the PCP. Permission to use photos is a popular request, too.
Second-hand paperback books and activity magazines go down well with many groups, as these can be passed around before passing onto a charitable cause, but postage costs can be prohibitive and perhaps it is more sensible for groups to simply request members here think twice before throwing things away that could perhaps benefit a charity or cause local to them.
The woodland and Wildlife Project would like nothing better than for others to plant things in their own gardens, or even in containers, that would benefit the wildlife and birds in their own areas. Also to put out bird feeders and baths.
The Hacks and Hookers always welcome odd pieces of rug canvas or rug wools but are more than happy to negotiate a price and buy these. Patterns for designs are welcome, too.
Sometimes we have a finished rug that can be raffled or auctioned for charitable causes, but that's not too regular a thing due to the time it can take to complete one. Rug hooking tends to be a winter evening activity, often done in one's own home in front of the TV, but a few of us try to meet up once a month to socialise and exchange ideas or discuss progress. Being a small group, we don't hold many competitions or challenges. However, we could perhaps sponsor prizes for something held here on the board? With so many having digital cameras and photo editing programmes, perhaps members here would like to have a go at designing a small rug? Perhaps one large enough for a pet dog or cat to claim as a favourite napping mat?

I live 2 miles from Readicut who design rugs as well as sell them in kits, loose and made up. I used to make rugs for them, see, I am not completely useless They have a shop at the factory so I could go in for someone if needed. I think they may have changed their name, but I don't know what to.

I think they are still Readicut, Margaret. Do you know if they have bargain lots of rug wool in their factory shop? There used to be a factory shop in Kidderminster and attached to a carpet factory where one could get bags of rug wool offcuts for next to nothing. That was when I was a child, though. If you do happen to go there it's a trade secret that some of the rug hookers want to discover. That being, what type of paint is used to stencil designs onto the blank canvasses?

If I can get hold of my son who lives in Bradford, I will ask him, he used to work at Readicut

.. and I just posted in the swap shop (as I totally overlooked this one) that I've got some "furry" material one can make soft toys out of or the like. Please see the swap shop. If there's interest, we can see about "getting it there" (if it's anywhere near Alison - my OH (better known as "Martin" or "the better half" ) occasionally needs to go to Wales on business, so could take it along or at least near to you.

Roni would love the poppy seeds if no one else is interested, please. Can offer a couple of little 'sprite' dolls in exchange for a rescue's fund-raising etc.

I don't want anything for the poppy seeds Al, please tell Roni she is welcome to them, if she wishes to give something to her local rescue that is entirely up to her but I offered them because I have no use for them, shall I send them to your address or do you want to pm me hers?

You can address them to Roni (Veronica) at this address, Selina, as she's here most Mondays - Wednesdays, so I can pass the mail on to her. Feel sure that she'll sort something out for the prize box or a rescue.
