AnnK has very kindly led the way in providing a range of very useful items for my greyhound sanctuary. One thing I can always use more of are 6 foot long leashes. These are very convenient for walking the dogs - in comparison to 4 ft leashes - and I find I am always using the same 2 leashes, because they are nice and long.
Here at The Orchard Greyhound Sanctuary the dogs live in a home environment and run loose every day all day long on almost 3 enclosed acres. They learn their names, get housebroken and socialized, learn their manners and otherwise are prepared to become adoptable dogs. Sometimes when friends come for a visit we take the dogs out walking - part of socializating them - and so these longer leashes would come in handy.
Thanks very much for listening. I keep coming back and looking at this site - it's wonderful, positive, and just amazing.

The Bev of Bridlington leads extend to over 6' or will quickly shorten to half length too, if required. There are also the 6' leads with rings in the handles, which can be shortened to half-length, and there are always the extra long recall training leads, too.

Just simple 6 ft leads with a good snap on the end and in different/bright colours would be perfect. The bright colours are for when the hooligans steal them and drag them outside - if they are bright colours, I can spot them easily!
