I have e-mailed them too Nikki, what a crazy situation I do not understand why Saxon is considered dangerous when they have been happy for him to live with his family whilst he has been in service? If they believe him to be dangerous, why would this be allowed to happen? I think that Saxon deserves to retire to his loving caring home, a small reward for his remarkable service.

I totally agree with you Nicki and its a disgrace that they could even think to do this after the darling has given it his all and saved his handler on umpteen occasions as well as doing a sterling job day to day as well. thanks for your support on this

It's been posted to the Cavalier forum I belong to too, and someone there has sent it to the Sun newspaper!! There's also been a suggestion to contact the RSPCA, but I'm not sure if it's something they would get involved with. Not sure if it's worth contacting the kennel club? There should be a National policy in place for this...someone mentioned that even drug sniffer dogs are PTS at the end of their service sometimes
