Posting on behalf of the organisers of the March for Greyhounds...
Hi All
I've been asked to contact people who expesssed an interest in the March for Greyhounds against the atrocities exposed in the Sunday Times.
Vanessa unfortunately has no computer access at the moment, so if you have received this twice apologies as we are trying to contact as many people as possible.
Could you please respond to me as I'm trying to help the organisers assess the numbers who hope to attend so we can judge the number of Stewards required (we maybe looking for volunteers).
I would be grateful if you could advertise this to as wide an audience as possible and if they could contact you and you could contact me via this e-mail address with the numbers who've expressed and interest I would appreciate that info.
Alicia. (KatsnGreys.)
Below is Vanessa's note.
We are pleased to release some initial details about the March for Greyhounds. We hope that this will give people time to make the necessary travel arrangements should they want to attend the event.
We are pleased to announce that the March for Greyhounds will take place on Saturday 18th November
2006, in Central London.
Participants should meet at Whitehall Place, London SW1, at 12 noon. The march will begin at 12.30pm and
will last approximately one hour. It will end in Hyde Park where we will be able to gather for a vigil.
Central London is obviously noisy and crowded. Due to the location and nature of the event we advise that people do not bring their canine companions along with them.
Further information about the march, including press information and publicity literature will be released shortly.
Can you please forward this to all your contacts - we need as many people as possible to attend. It is time to stand up and be counted!
