While not a specific rescue issue this wil impact on all dog owners in some areas where their local councils are taking out draconian dog control orders ( not allowing dogs offlead at all in some or all of their parks and land in some towns and cities). To follow which area next and how you can stop them or negotiate with your council then am afraid the only info I can find is on the Kennel Club websites www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/295www.thekennelclub.org.uk/cgi-bin/item.cgi?ap=1&id=725In some areas councils are working with the KC and local dog clubs to find a workable solution, yet in others they're just slapping orders on all their public land Wales doesn't appear on the orders yet but I except this to start happening after the assembly elections in May. Also when the councils announce the consultation period its often extremley short so its worth speaking to your dog warden to find out what plans there are in place. Personally I really don't want to go down the route of dog parks in the US --- I like to be able to walk at the quieter end of the park and mix with whichever dogs/owners I want to not and not those I'm forced to.

Whatever next- the local kids cause more mess than all the dogs I know put together & they don't put them in specific areas. We live close a large network of bridlepaths-the local playing field has 1 poo bin-right at the top near the car park that no one uses. I feel the same as you do- I have certain dogs that we chose to stay away from- and don't want dictating to where I can & cant take my animals. Will certain keep an eye on this link-
