LONG TERM FOSTER or PERMANENT HOME NEEDED Max and Tricks need an angel. These two old guys have not had much luck in their lives and with winter approaching fast we would love to get them out of the kennels and into a proper home. Max and Tricks came to us in April from Retford pound where they ended up after being surrendered to the dog warden when their elderly owner became terminally ill. We took them on to save them from being put to sleep and sorted out their health problems. Max and Tricks are a couple of really nice, easy going dogs. They are both in fairly good shape for their age (8 – 10 years) and would be very undemanding, wanting nothing more than a comfy bed and a bit of fuss. They would be great for someone with a fair size garden who wanted a couple of uncomplicated dogs who didn’t need too much walking. If anyone can help these two boys or knows someone who could take them on, we would love to hear from you. With a foster home, we would require it to be local to us so that we could continue to use our own vet. If you think you can help please phone and we will tell you more about the boys Name & Type: Tricks English Bull Terrier x Chocolate Lab Max Crossbreed Age: 8 - 10 years old Cat Friendly: not known Dog Friendly: Yes Children: not known Arrived: April '05 Photo's of Max and Tricks can be seen here www.poplarfarmkennels.org.uk/boys.htm

Max and Tricks have been here at Poplar Farm for over a year now. They aren't young and really don't deserve to spend their final years in kennels. They should be pottering around a gerden with the sun on their back and the grass under their feet.
I know that many people wouldn't want to rehome these two due to their age and the limited time they would have with them but the love these two have to offer far out weighs that. YOU could make a difference, can you or do you know anyone who can offer a home to these two lads?? If so please contact me.

Sadly Max was taken ill recently and has crossed over to the bridge RUN FREE MAX This leaves Tricks alone LONG TERM FOSTER or PERMANENT HOME NEEDEDTricks need an angel. This old guy has not had much luck in his life and we would love to get him out of the kennels and into a proper home. Tricks came to us in April 2005 from Retford pound where he ended up after being surrendered to the dog warden when his elderly owner became terminally ill. We took him on with his life long pal Max to save them from being put to sleep and sorted out their health problems. Max got ill recently and has passed away leaving Tricks all alone. Tricks is in fairly good shape for his age (8 – 10 years) and would be very undemanding, wanting nothing more than a comfy bed and a bit of fuss. He would be great for someone with a fair size garden who wants an uncomplicated dog who didn’t need too much walking. Tricks is getting much more affectionate with people than he used to be. He will almost mob you for cuddles these days. His eyesight and hearing are poor and although he gets around fine he does not cope with strange situations very well. Tricks can be a little funny with strange dogs at first as he cant read their body language but once he knows then he is fine. He also hates the vets. If anyone can help this lad or knows someone who could take him on, we would love to hear from you. With a foster home, we would require it to be local to us so that we could continue to use our own vet. Please help us to find Tricks a home for the time he has remaining

Run free at the bridge Max. I wish I could help but I already have three dogs and this house woud definitely not be the best retirement home for darling little Tricks. I hope someone will give him a wonderful new home soon.
