Hi
I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you but I think if I don't tell someone I will just burst ;D
I have a dog (breed not disclosed as am sick of being slated) who lets just say is a bit nuts. He is 18 months old and seemed to spend most of his life on two legs not four.
One day I screamed "that is it you are being re-homed" I am 14 stone and he pulled me flat on my face in the middle of a ROAD.
Luckily I came across a dog training school and decided to give it a go. He did what he was most famous for walked in on two legs and screamed at the other dogs with excitement, everyone just looked at me and I wanted to die.
Well guess what 12 months on and TONIGHT HE HAS JUST COME 1ST PLACE IN OUR STAGE 2 ASSESSMENT. They got an outside judge in and she was so impressed with him. She said at the end even "I would like to comment on how impressed I am with Muffin he is a fantastic dog and have no comments written down next to each exercise (which meant he did them perfect). He got a certificate, rosette and trophy.
I know I am bragging BUT this dog 12 months ago was horrendous. He would pull me over, have NO respect for me at all, jump and dive on every dog he met, chase things, wreck my house, and be a complete nightmare and nuisence to the point where I dreaded walking him.
He now walks to heel, sits and waits on the pavement for joggers, police horses cyclists and buggies to pass, his recall is spot on even at the other end of a field with other dogs. I am so proud I feel like I am going to burst.
Sorry know I have gone on a bit will shut up now
