You'd be correct if I had used Cape Gooseberry as "GOOSE", but as it is Cape Gooseberry for "APE" it is valid (like all those breeds of roses and apples ...). It's not even a type of the British gooseberry, but a plant of Peruvian origin. WOLVES, I hope you got your eyes peeled for plants this bank holiday weekend!! (Maybe someone should kidnap Ann or rather her camera?... ) btw - this current constant rain here is really getting on my nerves! Wouldn't be able to identify a plant if it shouted its name at me!

I just had this vision of hordes of wolves with cameras descending onto Arboretums, National Trust Gardens, Nurseries... Now is that stuff for a horror movie or a comedy?

Thanks Jutta This is what I found Regarding the CATNEP. CATNEP (Nepeta cataria) Cats cannot resist the intoxicating scent and will demolish young plants unless pro-tected. Said to keep rats away. Same one then, just different spelling. Was TURTLE any good Jutta.
