If you have an 'animal rescue' website that you would like to recommend to other members, please post a link here. Rescue forums or links to breed rescue sites are welcomed. Please note, links to breeders are not permitted.

Animal Rescue Database This is a site to aide rescues, mainly small rescues who might have managed to put together a quick and simple web site, but don't have the time or resources to keep up to date a rescue page of their dogs waiting for rescue. The database allows them to easily update their dogs for rescue which they can use on their own web site as well as adding to the central registry. animalsanctuary.info/database/

Hound Aid Mission statement "To help independent sighthound rescues, sighthound fosterers and any independent sighthound organization with financial aid and an advisory service to enable them to fulfil their full potential in doing the best for the hounds in their care." This will be facilitated by a central fund to be used at the the charity's discretion. We are in the process of applying for charity registration. We have a website and forum and shop, all proceeds go to help sighthounds in need www.houndaid.com

I've just been told that a new website has been created by Binns for The Jerry Green Foundation Trust. It is at: www.jerrygreen.org.uk/ Their MAJOR AIM is to provide Sanctuaries throughout Britain to care for stray and unwanted dogs - who are then adopted by loving families under their careful Adoption Scheme. Well worth a visit to their website, which is impressive. Al

This is actually an update to the previous post regarding the Teckels rescue database. This has now beed rolled out as a separate web site: rehoming.org.ukIt also now has a unique search engine which twice a day searches the rescue pages of other web sites and compiles a list of dog breeds available: rehoming.org.uk/database/rescue_searchRescues are welcome to register and add their dog and cat details. If you have a rescue page not included in our search engine then please let us know. Or it would be appreciated if you just spread the word about the sites existance!

Greyhound Gap is an independant non profit making Organisation, who specialise in the rescue and rehabilitation of death row greyhounds and lurchers. All of the dogs that are taken into our care receive a thorough assessment in a foster home environment, although occasionally we do have cause for dog's to spend sometime in kennel situations. As well as Rescuing, Rehabilitating and Rehoming our own dogs, we also act as independant, freelance volunteers for around 30 plus of the UK's Sighthound rescue's and aid them in anyway we can, including getting dog's to safety on their behalf, homecheck's, follow up check's and transportation. We do also hold online fundraiser's for both ourselves and the other organisations we deal with. Greyhound Gap's Main Website can be viewed at www.greyhoundgap.com and our Online Forum can be accessed via greyhoundgap.proboards35.comYou never know when help will be needed in your immediate area, and it may be something you can help with to bridge the Gap. Even if you are not a regular contributor to the site we welcome you to register. Most of our urgent appeals are placed via the mass email facility we have access to. Should we require urgent assistance for a death row dog a plea will be sent immediatly to every members email box

Poplar farm KennelsPoplar Farm Kennels aim provide a place of safety for dogs that would otherwise be put to sleep . David and Rachel ensure that the dogs are assessed, re-trained, nursed back to full health if necessary, and finally re-homed. If they cannot find a suitable home then the dog will live out the rest of its days at Poplar Farm. We have a 100% "no kill" policy. www.poplarfarmkennels.org.uk

My latest English Springer Spaniel came to me recently via English Springer Spaniel Welfare. I am so impressed by the work that they do, and having had ESS for 24 years, I felt compelled to become involved in a more formal way with this organisation. Please take the time to have a quick look at their web site at:- www.ESSW.co.ukThank You!

www.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/"We aim to rescue and rehabilitate primarily puppy farm dogs. We wish to provide a special; loving environment to help them adapt and find permanent homes of their own. With the help of animal lovers we groom and care for our very special orphans, teaching them to love and trust us as much as we do them. We try to link hands with all good rescues and work completely for the benefit of our charges."
