I have never been much of one for posting on forums, but today I have to make an exception to that rule! I am sorry to hear such sad news, I only knew Al for the wonderful, tireless rescue work that she's done & oh my what a woman she was! Nothing was ever too much effort.
Heartfelt condolences to all the family & friends Al has left behind, this wonderful lady helped so many, people & animals alike. Take care of all the animals Al, like you always have done & please hug them all from me! You'll be sadly missed by many xxx

Gosh I'm soooo sorry to read this. Unfortunately I never met Al (who I thought was a man actually....Alan...hope that make's you laugh Alison!!), although had swapped messages. Sounds like a wonderful lady who will be missed by so many. Have fun at the bridge Al, please look after all our old friends until we are all reunited. Much love and huge hugs to everyone, Maria -x-

I've only just seen this as I've been out all day...
Words can't express how shocked I am. It's just so damn unfair that the good ones get taken from us (and the animals they save).
It's a testament to Al that there is this level of shock and grief from people - including myself - that never even met her in person.
My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family at this sad, sad time for them.

My sincere condolances to all of Al's friends and family, she will be deeply missed by everyone, a phenominal lady who bowed to nothing, not even cancer could keep her spirits down. This is a very sad day indeed for me.

I am so sad and shocked to hear this news.
Al was a truely wonderful person who will sorely missed by us all. A very special light has gone out on earth, but a brighter star will now be shinning in the skies above us.
The poem of The Rescuer & the Rainbow Bridge springs to mind and I'm sure that Al will have escorted many dogs & other animals over the bridge with her to the Summerlands. Her last act of kindness to the animals she gave her heart and life to.
Wiccaweys Rescued Border Collies sends our sincere condolences to her family at this very sad time.

I truly can not believe that Alison has passed away, I always found her such a helpful and sweet lady, full of fun, hard working and dedicated to her cause. All the work she did for this site and indeed all of the items she made or sent to my lurcher boy. This has hit me so hard as no doubt it has so many others. My thoughts go out to her family and close friends, may peace be with you and may healing thoughts help to repair your hearts and souls. ' ALISON' This world is a cruel one, then people like Alison enter your life, Alison was an Earth Angel, always here to help, Alison would help no matter how large or small the problem was, People like Alison are few and far between and they mean so much to so many, People like Alison spread Love , Light and Laughter in their footsteps, Alison will always be remembered by so many people, These people will hold Alison in their hearts forever, Why Earth Angels like Alison are taken away from this world too soon can not be explained, One thing we all know is that Alison made a huge difference to so many people and animals, Even though Alison has now passed over to a better world, I think we all know that Alison will continue her work somehow, Alison we love and miss you much more than mere words can express, You are in our memories forever. Rest In Peace sweet Earth Angel. May I send Healing Thoughts to all family members. Love , Peace and Light Viv and the Dog's. Attachments:

I was deeply saddened to hear about Al's passing. She was quite an active member on Fifty Plus Forum and made a lot of friends there. We would all like to pass on our regards to her family through this forum as you knew her personally.

So very sorry to hear the shocking news.
Her legacy will live on as an inspiration to many and I expect there were many rescue animals waiting to welcome her at the Bridge.
So many left behind here and in gratitude. RIP Al.

This is devastating news and I am sending heartfelt condolencies on behalf of myself and Scruples Whippet Rescue.
