I'm afraid I haven't done anything to speak of since joining and did not know Al at all. However, I have just been contacted by someone who says he used to be a very close friend of "The Old Dragon" as he called her, in the 80s and 90s. Indeed a very very close friend. He says he is absolutely devistated that she had died and really wished he'd have kept contact when he had the chance. He says he hadn't made contact with her for about 20 years or so and now this sad news means he won't be able to. His name is Paul Skelton, but most would probably know him as Thunderhead if there is anyone around from the Post Horse and Pet Club days when him and Al were running it together. If anyone would like to contact him, please do so on the following email CAPerS1@btinternet.com
Thanks,
Sally

Many thanks to Liz for opening up this forum to me. I think Sally has kindly said most of what needs saying. I am not just after people who knew me, I am more interested in the people she was working with on her projects. I would certainly love to get into contact with people who worked with her, met her and better still who are still involved in anything she was involved with. The email is above, but I'll put it again here:- CAPerS1@btinternet.com If I can work out how to start a new thread here I will, but until then I'll certainly be following this thread. Not sure how many people log into this now, but please spread the word that it's being used. Regards,
Paul Skelton. AKA Thunderhead. AKA Rainbow Warrior.

Just like to say that Ruth Eberhardt has contacted me which is a great start. Is there anyone else else out there who has worked with Alison or knew her personally. I'd still like to make contact with you.

Just like to say that Ruth Eberhardt has contacted me which is a great start. Glad to see you two are back in contact & also that you've had a go at the quizzes on FOA RCT Paul - it seems you have won one of my donated prizes Liz

One of quite a few I am hoping to finally make contact with again. Things will never be the same without Al of course, but I am certainly interested to find out whether anything that was running is still continuing. I did indeed have a bash at the Sunday quizzes and was actually fast enough to ahve won one of the donated prizes. I am hoping to be able to donate some myself eventually. Or indeed devise a way in which to raise some cash for the charities FOA is supporting. The philosophy is so close to what me and Al used to do together when running ther Post Horse and Pet Club and later when I set up CAPerS. Only difference now being it's not done throught he post but mainly on line. That's somehting that Al obviously started to do before her untimely departure. If only the imputus can be kept running.

I met Al a few times i was blessed she was a really strong woman even now i still think of her and miss her she was a fab lady and she will be remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her she will be sat up there shouting at us for all the fuss and her favourite one 'renting her head space' i got that one personally from here and i use it daily so she is always in my head renting her head space is the one thing i will never stop doing

Think of Al every time we use the coats she made, and her favourite soft leads; difficult to believe it is over 3 years since she left
