Right then, it's the moment you have all been waiting for... The Results of Task Two!
The points awarded are as follows:
Wolves:
For the label and marketing aspects of the challenge: 30 points.
For the sales aspect, the wolves sold 46% of items sold in the Apprentice Challenge Sale, therefore they get: 46 points.
Total: 76 points
Wildcats:
For the label and marketing aspects of the challenge: 118 points.
For the sales aspect, the wildcats sold 54% of items sold in the Apprentice Challenge Sale, therefore they get: 54 points.
Total: 172 points
I think Mary's efforts with the marketting material were heroic, and that she deserves considerable congratulations, especially as so few Wildcats were active on the team!
ETA: Huge thanks to Reclaimingrebus for your help identifying uses for the belt and your passion for the item.
Hopefully, Ruth will be able to utilise that material on the website. We need to show there the talents of many of our members, and when it comes to designing really useful items that fulfil their needs and also those of others.
The Wolves team also did a grand job of selling Sheena's 'Armargos House Collars', and those are proving very popular, and will be sure to sell well in future, too.
The label the Wolves designed for those could have been simpler, in my opinion. Too much colour and the large size makes them quite costly to print in quantities. However, the lack of some marketting information that could have been used on the website was what cost them the majority of points. Those collars are a great product, and in many ways, but they won't sell themselves. ;D
So, Task Two, is a win to the WILDCATS!!! And that means Mary can choose to reclaim one of the team members lost to the Wolves... Unless, of course, she would rather claim a Wolf for the Wildcat team and to assist with Task 3? ;D
For Task 3, I will gradually be relisting selections of our stock under 'type' hedings in the Sales Forum. (This when I have had a sort out.) Once I have created a thread, then the task will require the teams to nominate ONE member of each team with admin powers to insert the most suitable photos to illustrate the items on offer in that thread.
However, once a team's nominated member has started adding pictures, then that becomes the thread of THAT TEAM only! For example, if I list a thread for dog coats and raincoats, and Jutta begins to post photos in that, then it becomes a 'Wolf Team' thread, and sales recorded in there will count towards the Wolves points total. Any Wildcat discovered to have modified it, will be claimed as a Wolf for the duration of the challenge! (And vice versa!)
Where other team members can help, will be to acquire photos suitable for advertising purposes, which may mean PMing those members who may have purchased similar items and be able to take photos on their behalf. They can also help to design marketting literature for the products thus claimed by the teams, and for the various products.
Any questions?
